A sub-virtue of good timing is the disposition to spend an appropriate amount of time struggling to achieve one’s goal despite frustrating obstacles. Temperance-with-respect-to-food, temperance-with-respect-to-drink, and temperance-with-respect-to-sex are sub-virtues of temperance, for example. No leader can escape the law of timing… particularly in the eye of a crisis.Virtues may be divided into sub-virtues – dispositions to respond well to a subset of the situations constituting the sphere of the virtue. Only the right action at the right time will bring success. Knowing what to do in any situation is not enough to succeed in leadership. Look for a solution that embraces the whole gamut of planning, data and asset management, automated workflows, communications, channels and logistics.
